Apps

The Apps menu is used to manage, create and delete apps. Apps allow you to create consolidated views of forms that can be accessed by anyone or restricted to a set of users.

Create an App

Accounts are created with a single app, this allows you to get up and running quickly allowing you to start creating forms immediately.

You can add a new app by clicking the 'Add App' button at the bottom right of the page. Then give the app a name and subdomain. The subdomain is the part of the URL that refers to the specific apps. This can be changed on the Summary tab after creation and is usually derived from the app name.

Forms List & Tiles Apps

Forms List

A Forms List app has a single-level navigation displaying a list of forms and a side menu.

Tiles App

A tiles apps allow for a second level of navigation, allowing you to consolidate forms within categories.

Tiles have added configuration including labels and icons.

Delete

To delete an app click the 3 vertical dots in the top right of the app card, to bring up the delete option.

When deleting an app, ensure you remove any allocated forms from the content page before trying to delete the app. To see if your app contains any forms click on the manage button and then check the content tab.

Note that you must have at least 1 app in your account.

Manage Apps

  • Description - A brief description of the app
  • App URL - Customise the subdomain of your app URL. App URLs are broken up into several pieces The account identifier, the app subdomain, the environment and then .app.oneblink.io. e.g https://accountid-myapp-environment.app.oneblink.io. You are also able to set completely custom domains, for more information on that check out thiarticleYou are also able to share your app by clicking the share button, for more on this check out thiarticle.

Notifications

In the event that an issue occurs with a submission on this app, the notification email address will be notified of the issue. The email address is prepopulated with the Team Member that created the app, but any email address can be added as a Notification email address. The Notification email address is required and will need to have at least 1 email address in order to Save the app.

Progressive Web App Setting

Apps created on the OneBlink LcS are Progressive Web Apps (PWA) meaning they can be downloaded onto the home screen of any device and function the same as any other app. For more information check out thiarticle.

  • App Name - This is the name that will appear below the app icon on the device.
  • Splash Screen Name - This is the text that will appear when the app is first loaded on the device.
  • App Icon - The icon for the application, must be a PNG and at least 512 x 512 pixels in size

Email Sending

Email Sending addresses allow you to change the sending email address for any out-of-the-box emails that are sent using your app. For example, Email + PDF workflow events can be sent from your email (support@company.com) instead of the default OneBlink email address (forms-no-reply@oneblink.io).

When configuring an email address, a verification email will be sent to the configured email address. You will need to access the email inbox, open the verification email and click the link. These links last 24 hours, if the link has expired you are able to resend the verification email. Once the link has been clicked thereby verifying the email address any new emails sent from the app will be sent using your new sending email address.

Sharing Drafts

Often users of an app will need to collaborate on drafts. To allow users to share drafts turn on the share drafts between users switch. Turning on this configuration will ensure that all drafts saved on the app are shared with all other app users. Forms users will be warned when saving a draft notifying them that it will be shared with all other app users.

Content

Forms List App

A form or information page can be added to an app through the app content page. From here you can click and drag your desired forms into the current app content section.

This allows you to specify the content of your app and the order the content will appear in.

Tiles App

Unlike forms list apps there is no side menu all navigation is done through tiles, meaning the Pending Queue, Drafts, Jobs and Login are all as tiles in the app instead. These can then be added to with Forms, Links and Categories:

Form - A direct link to a single form or info page

Link - A URL link, allowing you to link out to any external webpages

Container - A list of forms and info pages.

This is where you are able to style and customise your apps, set banners, modify the navigation menu and add advanced styling. For more on Styling check out this article.

Users

This is where users can be managed for each app. For more on Users check out this article.
