Google Address Integration

The Google Address integration allows you to use the Google Address element in your forms. This element lets users search for an address instead of entering address details manually.

Configuring Google Maps

To use the Google Address element, you will need to create and configure a Google Maps API key.

Step 1: Open the Google Cloud Console Credentials menu, then click Create Credentials.

Step 2: Once the API key has been created, select it from your list of API keys to edit it. Add a name for the key.

Step 3: Add key restrictions to help ensure the key can only be used by the forms and apps you nominate. To add a restriction, select Website and add the URL of your app.

For more information, refer to Google’s guidance on restricting an API key to specific websites.

Note: If you are embedding your form on another website, make sure you add that website’s domain to the list of available URLs.

Step 4: Add API restrictions so the key can only be used with the required APIs. These include:

• Maps JavaScript API
• Maps Static API
• Places API

Once the key has been configured, click Save and copy your API key.

Setting up the Integration

After creating your Google Maps API key, add it to the Google Maps integration in the OneBlink LcS.

Step 1: Open the OneBlink LcS and navigate to the Integrations menu.

Step 2: On the Google Maps Integration card, select Setup Integration.

Step 3: Enter a label for your key and paste the API key you copied from Google Cloud Console.

Note: You can add multiple keys if required. To add another key, click Add Key.

Step 4: Navigate to the Apps menu, select the app you want to use, then open the Developer Tools section and select your Google Maps API key.

Adding to a Form

Once your app is configured, you can add the Google Address element to a form.

Step 1: Open the form you want to update.

Step 2: Click Add Element.

Step 3: Select Google Address from the Integration Elements section.
